Firstly I would like to start by saying to one and all welcome to 2019.
If you are like me then at the start of each new year you try to have a quick think back over the last 12 month and try to remember what you’ve actually done. Its getting harder each year as sometimes I cant even remember yesterday let alone 300 days ago but that’s a different story.
Well, on the personal side, Kerry and I have welcomed another member to our family, baby Shannon born 27th September 2018 which, for those of you who are parents will understand makes it harder to remember anything else, but I’m sure that there are some other wonderful things that have happened, if I was to stop and think a little longer they might come back to me.
As for redIT its been another great year for us too with continued growth and expansion on each of our services and with virtually no disruption to your services. Even though we have had one or two issues, each time we would like to think that we have improved our processes and communications with the users of the service.
The best example of this is that we have tried a number of external system monitoring platforms and we have now settled with UptimeRobot and you can directly see the status of each server at https://status.redit.co.uk
Well that is now the past lets look forward.
For 2019 we are looking to continue the growth of the company and act on some more of the feedback that we have received from you our customers over the last year.
The first one that I can now confirm, is that we will be discontinuing the sale of our current VPS package and releasing three new packages.
After reviewing the feedback about our current VPS service and conferring with a some of our current VPS customers we have come up with these packages:
VPSmicro from £4.49 per month
- 1 vCPU
- 512Mb Memory
- 20Gb Disk Space
VPSmini from £5.57 per month
- 1 vCPU
- 1Gb Memory
- 30Gb Disk Space
VPSstandard from £6.05 per month
- 2 vCPU
- 1Gb Memory
- 30Gb Disk Space
You can still upgrade the memory and disk space if you should need along with additional IPv4 addresses.
If you already have a VPS with us on our current VPSAlpha plan, don’t worry we won’t remove your service or force you to move to one of the new packages you can stay on the package that you have now.
We are also removing the option for a three year term making the maximum a 2 year contract.
Finally again thank you for being here and we look forward to working with you in the coming year.
